PS: the below may sound like an advertisement. It is not I am in no way affiliated with Wikimedia. Im just a bit pissed at the first Leaked photo they have on the cover page.

You want information on Gitmo, they got it.
You want information on fraternity secret rituals they got it.
You want information on casualties of war, they have all the information you could ever need to add the ammo you need for your dissent.

Documents ranging from Scientology, mormon books, to you guessed it Gitmo.

The ultimate charge is: Violation of his Oath of Office.

So hes going after every one, and this is the resolution.

There are two resolutions floating in congress now, all introduced in the first and second stages of talk. They are supposed to be heard in a committee.

Howdy kids. Shib-ity Shib-ity Shuac here with my very first Sift Talk topic.

Many members are complaining about how VS is becoming "Demosift" or "Atheist-Sift" and the like and it got me thinking. Yep, I'm a thinker.

This is how I see it: by and large, the political climate of the world has a symbiotic relationship with individuals in it. If the world leans conservatively, liberal-leaning individuals become the squeaky wheel which eventually turns the world liberal-leaning. Then conservative-leaning folks do their thing and so on.

It's a yin-yang shin-dig, by golly. Doe-see-doe yer partner and all that.

So my question for the group is this: is the reason VS features so many so-called "liberal-leaning" vids is that there are a limited number of conservative vids in existence?

Or is it that those conservative vids do not get as many votes?

Or both?

Or neither? Perhaps my premise is faulty.

In the same week that the biggest Unionist party in Northern Ireland voted FOR Gordon Brown's 42 days detention without trial (in return for promises of hard cash no doubt), voters in Ireland rejected the Lisbon EU treaty. Which is a Good Thing.

Every time ordinary people in Ireland are given the opportunity to vote on referendums, they seem to always make the right decision. Every time politicians here are given the opportunity to vote on something, they do the exact opposite of what the people want. Alas, the vast majority of people in the north continue vote for the politicians who match their religion and completely disregard everything else.

"Irish voters tore up the European Union’s blueprint for the future yesterday in a dramatic and decisive rejection of the Lisbon treaty.

The result leaves Brussels’ plans to streamline EU power – creating a president and foreign minister and reducing the influence for smaller countries such as Ireland – in tatters.

The 53.4 per cent “no” vote should in theory sign the death warrant of the treaty, which has been eight years in the making, since it requires ratification by all 27 members. Gordon Brown faced immediate calls to scrap British ratification. "

Have you ever seen a video where it was an great sift but the video quality sucks daggy balls?

I frequently will send the person the embed code for a better vid, but sometimes they can't use it cause they are weak, and insignificant. In these instances, what are we to do?

I tell you what manifest a new superpower for 100 Stars... Allow them, with the original sifters approval, to change embed codes. In the end everyone wins.

The caveat being that this obviously could lead to flagrant abuse from Issikitty(what with her penchant for rickrolls), without the original sifters approval. Maybe we could do something with a time limit. I don't know.

Who from the US has successfully gotten prescription meds from websites elsewhere (like Canada)? There's a little med I need to stay alive called Asacol that costs $3100 for year supply here in the states and is advertised for around half that at all the Canadian pharma sites I could find with google. Supposedly the government of Canada enforces price controls on pharmaceuticals (unlike the USA where they gouge you for 20 times the manufacturing cost and make billions in profit)
