Ahhh, the spirit of freedom and liberty is with this one. Are you perhaps familiar with the phrase "I don't share your beliefs but I will fight to the death to defend them"...I would guess not.

A minaret is a tower, I can only imagine you are talking about a Burqa which has nothing to do with a minaret...at all, like even a little. Thank you, please drive through.
This is a really good audio and fleet representation of what happens in the larger 0.0 battles. The new patch, ironically, is aimed at reducing these types of massive engagements to more hit and run kind of fights. The days of the mega alliances might be over and the rise of the static industrialist and the roving gang might be the new order of the day instead of the static super pvp power, and the opportunistic carebear.
>> ^dystopianfuturetoday: When is George Lucas going to wise up and hire Valve or Infinity Ward or Bungie to make a decent Star Wars fragfest?
I think it is because the shoe is on the other foot. Valve would have to want to make it first and they would want to sponsor it second. They both (valve and CO) have their hands full with making their own franchises successful. Usually resorting to adapting your game idea to someones franchise is either an effort to popularize your smaller developing house or a publisher pushing something onto a developer to promote some other synergy with their universe or general wanting of licensing money
Hahahah I "love" that picture where it made them look like the spikey hide of some devilish demon. This is just absurd...most of the Gothic cathedrals are more ominous than a minaret. The violence of majority faction expressing itself in a government not bound by negative powers, but obligated to provide for the public "good".
Ok, so the original design spec was for 574 TeV(× 10^-7) per nucleus. This firing was at 450 GeV(× 10^-10) per particle. So, 1000 orders of magnitude lower than intended, so far. Still holding out for a high level test not going wrong...again
Edit: More information. They plan to scale up the beam to about 3.5 TeV by 2010 but it will have to be shut down after that to get the beam up to its intended 7TeV scale. 7TeV is the intended target and it is still a long way off (7x82(atomic weight of lead)=574 number above). A lot can go wrong in that amount of time, best of luck to them!
The Tevatron will most likely stay the more powerful collider till sometime in mid/later 2010
Back when it first broke, I remember them saying they never planed to get it fixed enough to do what it was originally designed to do...making only slightly more powerful than other colliders. I have been unable to find any information on if it has been left in this reduced state or is back at 100% of original design specifications.
You're putting the cart before the horse and already assuming that is what happened. The only REAL difference between the 2 videos was the anchors knew one wasn't correct because it was blindly obvious, and the former they weren't able to. If you want to give people the benefit of the doubt that's fine, just try and be consistent is what I am saying.

Even if the editor was given specific pieces, he/she would STILL know what was going on. At that point, you are either ethical, or you are not. These people are not ethical, as history has shown time and time again. This isn't even a debate. It's empirical.
I understand the need to label MSNBC as some far-left bastion of communist propaganda. But unless you have any links to when that news org has ever misused footage to bolster their mis-truths and bias, I'm just not going to believe it.

That is objectification of women, whether or not you agree with it.
There are no superhero plumbers in the real world, unlike women.
This isn't a real woman, nor is she in a real world. It's a fantasy land of make believe...doesn't objectification have to be of a real object?

Everytime I think the Japanese have reached the pinnacles of objectification of women, they soar to new heights.
Of note, that isn't a woman. Was the pokey face of mario 64 intro an objectification of superhero plumbers?
