The Disappeared is a documentary about Argentina's dirty war against leftists between 1976 and 1983 following the ouster of Isabel Perón by Jorge Videla in a military coup. Between 10,000 and 30,000 people, mainly trade-unionists, students and activists were killed and up to 60,000 were tortured. The film follows Horacio Pietragalla who was raised by the maid of an officer who kidnapped and executed Horacio's parents.
